The kids had a fantastic first week of school! Everyone liked the school, their teachers, their classmates, etc. No problems as of yet, which is great. Apparently, not everyone got the memo that we decided to adopt locally, instead of internationally. One parent was introducing her kindergarten son to Cecil and said "Michael, this is Cecil. Cecil's from another country." Cecil cocked his head up, surprised, and said "Huh?" Pretty funny!
We found out that our adoption will take place earlier than expected - November 19th! That is awesome news. However, it's really a formality, since all of us consider ourselves a family already. At least it will mean no more CPS visits, lawyers, etc. We can just live life.
