WOW, THAT WAS FAST!

okay, since jessica's blog a couple of days ago, we've had a bit of news. we received a call the other morning from our caseworker about two siblings(brother and sister) that we inquired about. we were originally told by the kids' caseworker they had already been "placed". our caseworker said the original placement fell through and the kids were up for immediate adoption. well, just a couple hours after the call, we received news that monday we would hang out with them, and wednesday they would move into our house......FOREVER!

Going through the state of Texas, the overall concensus is not to become licenced to only adopt, but foster as well. that is really the only successful way to ultimately be placed with kids for adoption. we met a couple that it took two years to be placed with a child(ren) for adoption. this appears to be the norm. so it is pretty amazing that we haven't been licensed for but a week and are already on our way to adoption. apparently our family profile and theirs seemed to match up really well.

i know what your thinking, "shut up brent and tell us more about the kids". i will(or jess will) go into more detail about them as time comes and things become more final. right now, for their privacy, things are still fairly confidential. i will tell you, they are 7 and 8, very adorable, and are extremely bright. daisy and clara are very excited and doing their part on cleaning and preparing the house.

We are tirelessly working on getting the house prepared for their arrival on monday. tomorrow, we will be buying beds and doing some more "spring cleaning".
